I am fortunate to have worked with Ryan many times over the years… he’s come through in the clutch for me more than once, including last minute repairs to a custom amp just before a big show… he’s a good hang, communicates well and has become a trusted ear when it comes to tone.

For us lifers: the chase for tone is endless. I’m glad to have Ryan and his expertise in my corner.

I brought a ’71 Princeton Reverb to Ryan after it kept blowing a fuse and capacitor. Had it looked over by a few other places, and was hesitant to hand it over to someone new. Not many people really know their way around these old amps.

I found the right guy. Ryan has a real passion for music and tone and knows the tech side inside and out. We talked music, influences, and the sound I was after. He dug into the Princeton and actually found the problems, bad filter caps and power resistors, some sketchy old power wiring, and other aging components. He sent pictures, explained what he was seeing, and worked through what needed replacing and what was better left original. He even fabricated a few pieces to clean up old chassis holes and keep things looking right. I learned a lot in the process.

Since then I’ve brought him a Custom Vibrolux Reverb and a '70 Super Bassman II head. Same deal every time, he tests everything, tracks down the issues, and works with me on tweaks based on how I use the amp and what I’m looking for tone-wise. No just throwing parts at it.

Everything has come back sounding great. Fair prices, great communication, excellent work. Score!
